What we can help with

Corrections. A price band that no longer matches the operator's own site, a season that has shifted, a dock that has moved, an operator that has closed or changed its boat. Send the page and what is wrong on it; a link to the official source makes the fix same-day work rather than a research job.

Operator listings and review updates. If you run whale-watching trips in Canada and your port page does not mention you, send your official site, your departure point, your fleet and your operating months. Listings and reviews are free, and nothing about them is for sale — see how we work and the operator reviews.

Which port, which boat. Short planning questions we can actually answer: whether a date falls inside a season, zodiac or covered vessel, how two operators' terms differ.

What we cannot do

We do not sell tickets and have no access to any booking, so we cannot see, change, move or refund one.

  • Changes, cancellations, refunds, missing vouchers. Use the confirmation email from GetYourGuide, or contact the operator directly if you booked on its own site. We cannot act on your behalf.
  • Weather cancellations and re-rides. The operator decides whether a trip sails and what a sighting guarantee pays out; guaranteed sightings explains the usual terms, but only the operator can apply them.
  • Wildlife reports. Harassment of whales, a vessel too close, an entangled or stranded animal: report it to Fisheries and Oceans Canada, which takes reports of marine mammal disturbance and harassment, not to us.

Corrections, press and the fine print

Journalists, photographers and rights holders can use the same address; so can anyone who wants a photo credit changed, and the photo credits page lists every image we use. Questions about data, cookies or the near-me finder are answered on the privacy page, and the address there is this one.

We read everything and reply to what needs a reply. Nobody here can promise a turnaround time, and there is no phone number: this is a small editorial operation, not a call centre.
